
Phyllis Horridge holds a Masters Degree in Music from George Mason University and has been seen professionally on both stage and screen.
As a member of Actors Equity Association, she performed at regional theatres all over the country, including The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and internationally with the Rome Festival Opera. While living in New York, she was fortunate to work Off-Broadway with the York Theatre Company.
Phyllis has been a music educator and choir director in a variety of public schools across the country, and served as an adjudicator for events including the NATS Southern Region Musical Theatre Competition, VCDA District IX Choral Festival, Louisiana 4-H Talent Competition, Virginia Theatre Association One Act Play Festival, and the Stafford County Choral Society Scholarship competition. In 2008, she served as resident musical director for the Beechwood Theatre Company in Newport, Rhode Island.
She is certified in Somatic Voicework (sm), in addition to participating in the Summer Vocology Institute at The National Center for Voice and Speech. Phyllis has been actively involved in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and maintains membership in the Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
Phyllis teaches singing, acting, piano for singers, and audition prep.
